Description
A case was brought to the District Court of Amsterdam requesting the court to order Uber to provide access to riders full data upon request.
The case comes after riders have claimed that Uber did not provide them with the full information they were entitled to, such as information on the purposes for data processing on behalf of Uber, and not in the correct format.
The court has ruled that the requests for data offered were outside of the scope of the GDPR, and that Uber is not obliged to provide further data to its riders. The request to impose a fine on Uber was also rejected by the court.
