Description

The Polish government has announced an initiative to make up to PLN 300 of trade union membership fees deductible from taxes. The initiative is an attempt to increase the development of social dialogue in Poland. Trade union membership and density in Poland is low when compared to other EU Member States. For the OPZZ (National Alliance of Trade Unions), this is viewed as a progressive step which allows all taxpayers, including self-employed and platform workers, to benefit from the tax exemption when becoming a trade union member.
