Description

The Deliverance Project is a network of food delivery riders and couriers in Italy working for companies such as Deliveroo, Foodora, JustEat or Ponyzero. The group supports protest and strike actions. Together with Strike Raiders and the Riders' Union Bologna, it was invited to participate in the second national round table discussion convened by the Minister of Labour and Economic Development in August 2018, for which the protest organisations presented a letter with requested improvements of working conditions as well as arguing for legislative intervention and reforms that would provide better protections for food delivery riders. In November 2021, it organised protests in support of a lawsuit that was filed against the company by a rider accusing Uber Eats in Turin of low wages, precarious working conditions and workers’ lack of access to social protection.
