Description

The Swedish Work Environment Authority states that people who work for TaskRunner are employees and that Taskrunner is the employer - and thus responsible for the employees' work environment. Therefore, the Swedish Work Environment Authority requires the company to take its responsibility and examine and map the employees' working conditions. TaskRunner is a digital platform that offers jobseekers to advertise to perform simple services such as assembly of furniture, transport, moving assistance, and painting, with approximately 7,000 people using it so far. TaskRunner is appealing the Swedish Work Environment Authority's decision to classify them as an employer. TaskRunner argue that Swedish Tax Agency does not consider them as employers, and that most of the people only use TaskRunner as their secondary income and would not want to be employed.
