Description
Delivery drivers working at the Danish online e-commerce retailer and delivery firm, Nemlig, have secured a collective bargaining agreement (CBA). The CBA was negotiated between the firm and trade union 3F Transport, with support from the International Transport Workers’ Federation and European Transport Workers’ Federation.
The CBA stipulates conditions which have parity with the terms and conditions of other unionised drivers in Denmark. The new conditions include ‘a minimum hourly wage of €20,30, a pension (with the employer paying 8 percent), overtime payments and rights including breaks, holidays, paid sick leave, maternity and paternity leave. The company can continue to engage drivers as sub-contractors, however, they will be required to pay sub-contractors equal levels of remuneration as the employed drivers.
