Description

Unionen, a Swedish trade union representing the white-collar private sector, signed three collective bargaining agreements with platforms. As a result, platform workers can access the social security system.

The platforms in these cases act as temporary employment agencies, which allows the workers to be covered by the collective agreement for temporary agency workers. Examples are the platforms Instajobs (hiring students who provide different types of high skilled work) and Gigstr (low-skilled gig work).
