Description

Swedish Volvo Trucks, part of the Volvo Group, will cut 350 jobs from its site in Umeå as production is relocated to the company's facility in Tuve, Gothenburg.

The relocation was initially estimated to require the cutting of 500 jobs but the number has decreased due to Volvo Trucks' efforts to naturally remove positions by offering its employees early retirement and severance pay.

The ERM has reported on previous restructuring events at Volvo Trucks in Sweden in 2008 a, (https://apps.eurofound.europa.eu/restructuring-events/detail/67204), 2008b20092010a,2010b2010c2010d20122013a2013b, and 2014.
