Description

Swedish company Volvo Trucks, a subsidiary of car maker Volvo, will cut 180 jobs on its site in Tuve. The proposed job cuts are in the area of production. 

These reductions are part of the Volvo group's global restructuring process to enhance efficiency and competitiveness. The restructuring will be completed by the end of 2015.

The redundancies will be made on a voluntary basis and the company will offer early retirement and severance pay to employees. According to the source, approximately 120 employees are expected to take early retirement. The source reports that an additional 125-140 temporary employees will be made redundant before the summer.
