Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
German supermarket and discounter chain Lidl plans to create 600 new jobs in Poland.
The increased employment is expected in shops, warehouses, and the Lidl Poland head office. The new jobs will be created by the end of 2024.
Currently, there are over 10,800 Lidl stores in 32 countries and more than 700 in Poland. Lidl has been operating since 2002 and employs about 27,000 people.
Previous business expansions were announced in September 2023, with 200 new jobs (Lidl-2023-PL), November 2022, with 1,400 jobs created (Lidl-2022-PL), March 2022, with 1,500 new jobs (Lidl-2022a-PL), February 2022, with 300 jobs created, (Lidl-2022b-PL), August 2021, with 500 jobs created (Lidl-2021-PL), February 2021, with 2,600 jobs created (Lidl-2021-PL).
