Description

Online retailer Amazon has opened a new distribution centre in Dublin that has resulted in 500 new jobs. The company's 58,529 square meter "fulfilment centre" will serve customers across Europe, housing thousands of products. The new centre will allow the company to bypass the UK and avoid any delays or extra charges due to Brexit rules. Recruitment is underway and will focus on engineers, HR and IT as well as employees who perform the roles of picking, packing and shipping customer orders. Amazon currently employs 5,000 people in Ireland.
