Employers obligation to support redundant employees

Information on this regulation have been collected since November 2022.

To support employees subject to dismissal, there are regulations in place that employers need to adhere to. These can involve the correct timeframe for the dismissal procedure, compensatory payment levels and duration, access to training or support for redeployment. Provisions can depend on the number of employees being dismissed as well as whether the dismissal qualifies as collective.

This type of legal regulation has been identified in 13 countries.
