Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Polish branch of the Japanese car manufacturer Toyota has announced that it will create 500 new jobs at its plant in Wałbrzych within the next two years. The recruitment process will start in the second half of 2020. The company will be looking for staff for all production departments - forge, foundry, mechanical working, assembly, inner logistics. The business expansion programme is associated with the production of the latest models of hybrid engines which will be launched in Wałbrzych in September 2021.
In Poland, Toyota has two production facilities located in Jelcz-Laskowice and Wałbrzych. Previous business expansions were announced in September 2018 (150 new jobs), February 2019 (150 new jobs) and September 2019 (450 new jobs).
