Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Japanese car manufacturer Toyota Manufacturing Poland has announced that it will create more jobs at its factory in Jelcz-Laskowice than it was initially declared in April 2018. The company plans to create in total about 650 positions, which means that additional 150 employees will be recruited by July 2020. The second stage of recruitment process has been initiated in January 2019; the company is looking for maintenance and production staff, logistics specialists and quality controllers. The restructuring programme is associated with the plan to launch the production of the latest models of engines in September 2019.
In Poland, Toyota has two production facilities located in Jelcz-Laskowice and WaĆbrzych. In 2018, the company announced two restructuring programmes: in April(500 new jobs) and September (150 new jobs).
