Finnish car manufacturer Valmet Automotive has announced plans to create 300 positions at its new car battery plant in Salo. Production is expected to be launched during 2019. The investment, which is part of the company’s strategy to expand its electronical traffic services, has been welcomed by the local authorities.
Valmet Automotive had some 3,800 employees in 2017. The company has been growing rapidly in the past years. Previous business expansions took place in February 2018 (1,000 jobs created), June 2017 (100 jobs created) and March 2017 (300 jobs created).
