Description
Finnish car manufacturer Valmet Automotive is to hire 300 new employees at its factory in Uusikaupunki. The reason for the expansion is a new Mercedes-contract. Production will begin in the second half of 2018, however 300 new employees will be hired in the near future. In total, Valmet Automotive aims to hire 1,060 new employees before the end of 2017. The new employees will work with welding, painting, assembly and logistics.
Valmet Automotive previously hired close to 1,000 employees during the last quarter of 2016 and beginning of 2017 due to production of the Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV. In total, Valmet Automotive plans to have 3,700 employees in Uusikaupunki by the end of 2017.
