Description
The Finnish car manufacturer Valmet Automotive is hiring 100 new employees for warehousing and production functions at its factory in Uusikaupunki. The recruitment campaign supplements previous recruitment rounds. The contract with Mercedes-Benz for the production of the GLC SUV model lies behind the expansion.
The contract with Mercedes has already led Valmet Automotive to hire close to 1,000 employees during the last quarter of 2016 and beginning of 2017, and another 300 during the spring of 2017. In total, Valmet Automotive plans to have 3,700 employees in Uusikaupunki by the end of 2017.
