European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Primark, a Irish retailer, announced the opening of its seventh store in Romania, creating 115 new jobs in Iași. The new outlet, located in the mixed-use Palas Iași complex, will operate on two levels and occupy an area of 3,100 m². Hiring is set to commence with the store’s inauguration on 2 September 2026.
The company highlighted its commitment to sustainability, noting that 74% of its clothing items are made from recycled or more sustainable materials compared to 66% in 2024. This initiative aligns with the retailer’s broader aim of delivering affordable fashion and lifestyle products while supporting local communities.
