Description
Primark, an Irish-based fashion retailer, has expanded its presence in Romania by opening a new store in Craiova, creating 100 local jobs. The retailer announced a total of nine stores in the country, with the Craiova outlet located at ElectroPutere Mall and a new shop slated for Sun Plaza Bucharest in the upcoming financial year.
The expansion reflects Primark’s strategy to double its footprint in Romania this year, driven by growing consumer demand and a focus on digital and sustainable retail practices. The new stores aim to enhance the brand’s visual identity and product range across the region. The first wave, the Craiova opening, commenced in June 2026, while further stores are scheduled through 2026 and into 2027.
