Description

Primark, an Irish fashion retailer, announced the opening of its sixth Romanian store in Shopping City Sibiu, creating more than 100 new local jobs in Sibiu (Sibiu County). The company’s expansion reflects a strong growth strategy within Central and Eastern Europe.

The move is driven by a desire to deepen market presence after openings in Craiova, Bucharest, Timisoara, Cluj-Napoca and Iasi. Primark also highlighted its commitment to sustainability, noting that 74% of its garments are made from recycled or sustainable materials, with a target of 100% by 2030.

As part of the broader rollout, further stores are planned for Iasi, Bacau and Bucharest by the end of 2026, signaling an ongoing expansion strategy.
