Ericsson, the Swedish telecommunications company, has announced that it will cut about 5,000 jobs worldwide.
The programme includes restructuring of its European operations, including Spain, Portugal, and France. Ericsson España has officially announced its intention to initiate an Employment Redundancy File (ERE), informing both employees and trade unions. The company has not yet disclosed the scope or number of potential layoffs. However, if the process were to affect the entire organisation, it could involve at least 220 employees. The company has emphasised that it intends to manage the process with maximum respect for all employees, ensuring transparency and full compliance with legal procedures.
