Description
Aptiv, a major global automotive supplier operating in the motor-vehicle components sector, is conducting group layoffs affecting 392 employees at its Jele nia plant in the ywiec region.
The restructuring, driven by falling orders, reduced production, and relocation of some operations abroad, will take place over the coming year and affects primarily production workers.
Job-reduction measures include enhanced severance packages, negotiated with unions, offering up to 11–12 months’ pay for long-tenured employees.
Trade unions, particularly NSZZ Solidarno , have focused on securing the highest compensation in the plant’s history.
Aptiv, formerly Delphi, has been a major employer in the region for decades, producing wiring harnesses for leading European carmakers.
