European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
French aeronautical equipment manufacturer Safran Aircraft has announced that it will create nearly 4,000 new jobs worldwide.
The new positions are expected to be created in France, Belgium, Mexico, India and Morocco. The business expansion programme will be supported by training programmes and academic partnerships. The company has announced a €1 billion investment to expand its global maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) network. The plan includes increasing MRO capacity to 1,200 shop visits annually by 2028 and adding 120,000 square meters of industrial facilities. New sites will be established in India, Morocco, while expansions are planned in Mexico and France.
Safran is the world's third largest aerospace contractor. Currently, the company employs about 92,000 people worldwide.
