Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
French aeronautical equipment manufacturer Safran has announced that it will create 12,000 jobs globally in 2022. So far, about 3,000 positions are to be created in France. The grousp expects a recovery of air traffic in 2022, after the crisis in the aviation sector related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Safran is to increase its production capacity. Moreover, between 2021 and 2025, it plans to commit €4 billion ($4.62 billion) in research and technology.
Safran is the world's third largest aerospace contractor. Currently, the company has 351 units in 31 countries and employs more than 76,000 people worldwide.
In 2020, the group announced 3,512 jobs cut worldwide.
