Description

The Poczta Polska (Polish Post), a state-owned company providing postal services, will reduce its workforce by 1,850 people in 2023.

Poczta Polska plans to reduce its workforce in its 2023 employment plans. It has motivated this as measures to reduce operating costs of postal outlets, which requires adjustment of employment levels in accordance with actual demand, affecting postmen and post office workers.

Poczta Polska announces that there are no redundancies in the plans for those working under a contract of employment, but that the reduction in employment is being undertaken in the form of departure by mutual agreement either at the request of employees or as a result of termination of employment at the end of temporary contracts. Trade unions in the Poczta Polska are protesting against job cuts and have issued an appeal on the matter to the Prime Minister.

Poczta Polska  is the state postal administration of Poland. The company is headquartered in Warsaw and employs over 54,000 people, it is the largest mail-handling company in the country.
