Furniture retailer Ikea will create 120 new jobs in Ireland over the next year as it opens its first Irish customer distribution centre in Rathcoole, southwest Dublin in early 2024. The new jobs will be across warehousing, logistics and administration. The job creation is part of a strategy to reduce order delivery times by more than half and increase availability. Until now, goods being delivered in Ireland were supplied from distribution centres in the UK or Belgium.
The Swedish manufacturer employs approximately 230,000 people, globally.
