Description
As announced on 25 January 2021, the US retail giant Amazon will be creating 1,000 new jobs at its new logistic centre in Gera. Amazon started building its new logistic centre in April 2020 and is expected to start operations just before the Christmas season 2021. First job recruitment notifications have been put on the company-owned recruiting platform. Amazon is specifically looking for technicians and managers.
Amazon has 16,000 employees working in logistics in Germany. Previous business expansions were announced in May 2019 (100 jobs created), July 2019 (2800 jobs) and November 2020 (200 jobs).
