The British retail chain Castorama, specialised in building materials, has announced that it will create 150 jobs at its new store in Bydgoszcz. Currently, the company is looking for customer service and logistics staff. The store is expected to be operational in June 2019.
Castorama Poland is a part of the multinational company Kingfisher which has about 1,200 stores in 10 European countries. The company has been operating in Poland since 1994; it has nearly 80 stores across Poland. In 2018, the company announced two restructuring programmes: in April (300 new jobs) and July (125 new jobs). In March 2019, the company announced the creation of 145 jobs in Elbląg.
