Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
French retail chain Castorama, specialized in building materials, has announced the creation of 125 jobs at its new store in Grudziądz. The store, having an area of 6,200 m2, is expected to be opened on 11th of July 2018.
The company has been operating in Poland since 1994; it has 76 stores and employs about 12,000 people across Poland. Castorama Poland is a part of multinational company Kingfisher which has about 1,200 stores in 10 European countries.
In 2017, the group made a similar announcement following the creation of a new logistic centre in Kiełmina near Zgierz, resulting in the creation of 300 jobs.
