Description
Blizzard Entertainment, a US-owned games company has announced 8% of job cuts worldwide, including 209 in the USA. Job cuts are also expected in Mexico, France, Ireland and will involve 770-800 people. The restructuring aims at centralising functions and boosting profit. Job cuts took place in 2012 (200 job cuts) and a job creation annoucement in 2007 (100 job creations in Ireland).
The company presently employs 9,800 staff woldwide.
