Description

Finnish postal and logistics services company Posti has initiated employer-employee negotiations in Finland to cut up to 236 positions. The negotiations concern employees in administration and service production. According to the company, in addition to the redundancies, there is a need for changing some permanent positions to part-time and temporarily laying off employees in service production.

Due to a decline in mail volumes, the company is reorganising its organisation to improve competitiveness and profitability. In the future, Posti will invest in new types of services, digitalisation and technical solutions.

Previous restructurings took place in 2016 (232 jobs lost in September and 680 in March) and 2015 (319 jobs lost).
