European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Swedish outsourcing company Transcom WorldWide AB has announced that it will create 300 new jobs at its units across Poland by the end of 2019. Due to the shortage of qualified workers in large cities, Transcom wants to attract potential candidates from smaller towns by offering them relocation packages and other incentives. Also, the company is planning to develop a home office model, with up to 30 new workers to be employed based on the model under a pilot project.
Transcom is a global outsourcing company specializing in debt collection, customer care, sales and technical support. The company operates in Europe, North and South America, Asia and North Africa. Transcom employs 29,000 specialists at 50 contact centres across 21 countries, delivering services in 33 languages. In Poland, the company has sites in Białystok, Gdańsk and Olsztyn employing 1,200 specialists.
Previous restructurings took place in 2016 (150 jobs created) and 2012 (150 jobs created).
