Description
Telecommunications company British Telecom (BT) has announced it intends to create another 500 jobs in its call centres as part of its pledge to deal with more customer contact from its sites in the UK and Ireland. The decision to relocate / reshore jobs back to the UK and Ireland is based on concerns about service levels, rather than issues of cost. The latest 500 jobs are in addition to the 1,000 positions announced in January 2016. Jobs are being made available at sites in Swansea, Warrington, Doncaster and Accrington. Recruitment is due to begin in December 2016.
