Description

Pharmaceuticals company Pfizer has announced plans to close two of its sites in the south of England, in a move which will affect 370 jobs. Under the plans the site at Royal Park, North London will close by August 2017 with the loss of 100 jobs. The site in Havant, Hampshire which is the company's packaging and distribution arm, is due for closure in 2020. Pfizer is proposing that work which is currently carried out at Havant will be transferred to its site in Puurs, Belgium. A spokesperson has commented that the plans are still subject to statutory consultation and that the plans have not been influenced by the recent EU referendum vote.
