Description
French car manufacturing group PSA announced plans to cut 2,133 jobs nationwide in France, in the framework of a three-years group-level agreement concluded last July with the representative unions except the CGT which is opposing the deal. The agreement also forecasts the recruitment of 1,000 employees by December 2019. There are currently no details about the number of recruitment for 2017. To cut the 2,133 positions, the group will use non replacement of retiring employees, 1,025 professional retraining and external reclassification leaves (employees may find a job in an other company with a right to come back to PSA if the transition to the new job fails); 1,000 senior leaves (three years of leave with 70% of the last salary). Job cuts were already recorded in 2012 (8,000 job cuts), 2013 (800); 2014 (400 in January and 300 in September); 300 in 2015.
