Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Polish electricity producer and supplier PGE Górnictwo i Energetyka Konwencjonalna (PGE GiEK), a subsidiary of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna, has announced that it will create 116 new jobs at its power station in Opole. The restructuring programme is associated with the expansion of the power station; currently, two power blocks are being built in Opole. The company is looking for electricians, automatics specialists, machine operators, electrical fitters.
The power station will provide special trainings and workshops for the employed staff. PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna is a state-owned power company and the largest power producing company in Poland.
PGE group underwent an internal restructuring in 2012-2014 with 5,000 jobs cut.
