Description

PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna, a Polish electricity producer and supplier, announced a restructuring programme for 2012-2014 which will result in the loss of 5,000 jobs. The job cuts will be carried out through voluntary departures in all companies within the group.

The redundant workers will receive a severance pay (average severance pay will be about 110,000 PLN). The restructuring is motivated by the need to improve financial and organizational effectiveness.

PGE employs 46,000 people across Poland.
