Description
Swedish manufacturer of military vehicles BAE Systems Hägglund has initiated employer-employee negotiations aiming to cut 150 jobs. The reasons for the redundancies are fewer orders than expected. Only blue-collar workers are affected by the negotiations, and following 150 redundancies only 120 employees connected to the union IF Metall, the Swedish union for metal and industrial workers, will remain at BAE Systems Hägglund. Union representatives have expressed concern regarding the situation.
BAE Systems Hägglund previously cut 150 white-collar positions in June 2015.
