Description

British  manufacturer of military vehicles, BAE Systems Hägglund, is to cut 150 jobs in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden.

The layoffs are due to two cancelled orders, one from Denmark and one from Canada. The CEO says that the orders were worth SEK 3-4 billion (around EUR 320-420 million). Only white-collar workers will be affected by the restructuring.

The ERM has reported on previous restructuring cases at BAE Systems Hägglund in Örnsköldsvik, in 2012

Update 2015-11-03: The final number of employees BAE Systems Hägglund will shed is 130. 85 of the workers are to be directly dismissed, while other solutions will be used for the remaining staff.
