Description
Discount supermarket Lidl has announced plans for further job creation in Scotland. 500 new jobs will be created to add to the 1,800 who Lidl currently employ in Scotland. As well as refurbishing and relocating existing stores, the company will add three further stores. Two of these new stores will be in Edinburgh and the third will be in the west of Scotland. The Edinburgh stores will open in the autumn of 2015; no date has been given for the store in the west of Scotland. The distribution centre, currently in Livingston, will be moved to Armadale in 2016. The move to add new jobs follows previous expansion in other parts of the UK in 2014.
