Swedish white goods producer Electrolux announced it plans to create 100 jobs at its new logistics centre near its factory in Oława (Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone). The centre is expected to be operational by mid-2015. The company has started the recruitment of logistics specialists who will coordinate orders, oversee supply chain of components and plan transport from 15 European factories. The investment is worth PLN 10 mln (EUR 2.38 mln USD 2.96 mln).
The sources also report that the company is looking for 90 production workers for the factory in Oława.
Electrolux has 4 production plants in Poland: Żarów (production of dishwashers), Oława (production of washing machines), Świdnica (production of ovens) and Siewierz (production of tumble-dryers). The company employs almost 4,700 people in the country.
The ERM reported on previously announced restructuring events in Poland in 2008 and 2009.
