Description
Bosch Rexroth announced its plan to cut 580 jobs by the end of 2016. 520 of them will be cut in the company’s headquarters in Lohr am Main where currently 6,000 people work and the remaining 60 jobs will be cut at 11 other sites in Germany.
The measure will mainly affect the administration department to make it more competitive. According to a spokeswoman, the reduction shall be implemented in a socially acceptable manner including severance payments and an early retirement scheme. Furthermore, the company will try to find adequate job alternatives within the Bosch Group. The company named structural problems and a strongly decreasing turnover as the main reasons for the reduction in staff.
Bosch Rexroth is a German supplier of tailored solutions for driving, controlling and moving equipment/machinery. The company employs 36,700 people in total and belongs to the Bosch Group.
