Description
Helios is a Slovenian producer of coatings, varnishes and lacquers based in Domžale, in the Osrednjeslovenska region. The company, which has been recently acquired by Austrian Ring International, will lay off 70 employees by the end of the year. This will bring the total number of employees down from existing 1,252 to 1,182. The reason for these dismissals is business deterioration due to falling sales in 2014. Between February and April 2014, Helios already laid off 120 employees (see FS 76787).
