Description
The German semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies has announced that it will create 200 jobs in Villach. According to the sources, the investment is part of a €290 million investment in its operations in Austria. The restructuring will take place between 2014 and 2017 and is part of an overall company strategy, called "Pilotraum Industrie 4.0". the new jobs will mostly be in the area of research and development.
The sources note that Infineon Technologies Austria AG is part of Infineon Technologies which provides semiconductors and system solutions for companies in the mobility, security and energy sector.
