Description
German retailer Aldi has announced it will create 450 jobs across its stores in Ireland in 2014. The new jobs will be for area managers, store managers, assistant managers and store assistants. According to the sources, recruitment for these posts has already begun.
The job creation is a result of Aldi’s growing market share. The sources report that the retailer currently has 8% of the grocery market in Ireland, which represents a 22% increase in its sales since last year.
The ERM previously reported on restructuring events at Aldi in Ireland in 2007, 2008 and 2013.
