European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
UK supermarket chain Morrisons has announced the creation of 200 jobs. Expansion of the supermarket's meat processing plant at Winsford, Cheshire will result in a range of new positions from production operatives to managerial and engineering staff. The facility which Morrisons took over from Vion foods in 2012 will expand the volume of its meat production.
This follows on from previous announcements of expansion in the company's manufacturing capacity, and expansion of its retail operations through the creation of new smaller convenience stores.
