Description

Swedish truck manufacturer Scania is planning to create 400 jobs across Europe, 200 of these jobs will be in Sweden and 200 in Holland. This job creation is a part of a Scania’s plan to increase production by 10%. This is due to increased demand for a new fuel efficient truck the ‘Scania Streamliner’.

The Scania site in Oskarshamn will recruit 50 new employees by the end of summer as a part of this expansion plan. Posts will be filled through the recruitment company Lernia. However further details about the timeline of this job creation are not yet available.

The ERM has reported on previous restructuring events at Scania in 2005, 2006, 2010 and 2011.
