Description
Telecoms equipment maker Alcatel-Lucent has announced that it is to close branches in Swindon, Newport and Maidenhead with the loss of 300 jobs. These job losses form part of the company’s previously announced 10,000 job cuts worldwide in a reorganisation plan entitled "shift".
Other EU job cuts announced by the company in 2013 are reported for Austria, Germany and France.
