France-based global telecommunications equipment provider Alcatel-Lucent is to cut 10,000 jobs worldwide by the end of 2015. As announced, the cost-saving restructuring is in the frame of the worldwide reorganisation plan “Shift”.

As reported, the group plans to cut 4,100 jobs in the EMEA area (in detail for the EU see Alcatel-Lucent-AT2013, Alcatel-Lucent-DE2013 and Alcatel-Lucent-FR2013), 3,800 jobs in the APAC area and 2,100 jobs in America.

For previously reported restructuring in the EU and the world see Alcatel-Lucent-WO2012, Alcatel-Lucent-EU2012 and Alcatel-Lucent-WO2006.

Recently the group announced job creation plans in Romania (see Alcatel-Lucent-RO2013).
