Description

Department store chain John Lewis opened a new store in Ashford (Kent), creating 125 jobs in the area. The store will provide furniture, electronics and home technology. 

The initiative is part of a large-scale development plan launched in 2007 leading also to the creation of 250 new jobs in 2010.

John Lewis is based in London, employing about 38,100 staff gobally.
