Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Interior car parts manufacturer JC Interiors Czechia is to expand its production near the city of Zatec and create 537 jobs.
The firm plans to invest CZK 1.30bn (EUR 50.38mn USD 68.89mn) and has submitted a request for state aid worth CZK 63.4mn to the government. The timeline for the expansion is not further specified.
JC Interiors Czechia is a subsidiary of the US-based Johnson Controls. In July 2013, the company had announced the closure of a production plant in Roudnice, resulting in 1,635 job reductions. Thereafter, the launch of a new plant with a potential job expansion of 300 was announced in early October.
